Oddly enough, not every D internally Flawless Diamond is beautiful. First of all, we've got make sure that GIA called the diamond D/Internally Flawless- virtually NO other opinion of the Color and Clarity count- especially if we're talking D, and Flawless.
This diamond was graded by GIA earlier this year. OK, so we're past that point- now we need to actually look at the diamond. Because color and clarity alone do not make a lovely diamond.
What makes this diamond such a special D/Internally Flawless is it's drop dead gorgeous cut. It's a total "Hall of Mirrors" type of stone. Plus, it's a great depth- which means that it looks quite large for it's weight.
Although a .70ct is 70% as heavy as a 1.00carat, it's much less than 70% the price. More like a third of the price. That's right, if you can find a 1.00 D Flawless cut like this, it will be about 3 times the price of this .70carat gem .
