1.71 Carat Natural Fancy Yellow/SI2 Cushion Cut Diamond GIA Report set between 1.02ct tw Colorless Cushion Cut Diamonds Item R2681
When I look at these cushion cuts- I feel like I'm looking at emerald cut's brother. They have a similar type of glitter. Stones of this facet pattern which are as deep yellow as this one are truly rare. GIA's grade of "Fancy Yellow" is a good one.
The stones are beautifully cut- there's so much life- even in dim lighting. The stones all have very good size for their weight. The 1.72 yellow center could easily pass for a 2.00carat. The ring has a very impressive size. IN terms of clarity, GIA graded the diamond as SI2 Clarity. We bought the ring without the GIA report- removed the center, and had it examined by GIA- who issued the GIA report. I graded it SI1 with a clear conscience- I do believe it's a borderline call- of course I respect GIA's grade. The imperfection that is there is very faint. Although you can make out these faint lines in these close up photos it's difficult, if not impossible for most- to see these with the naked eye
The contrast between the white and yellow is delicious. The colorless cushions are icy white
The ring is beautifully made, the stones set exactly in the right position- and low to the finger.
