Below is what I originally wrote about the 1.49 Emerald Cut:
Were you the type to bring home a stray puppy, or kitten- do you have a soft spot for the misbegotten?

This poor guy is doing all he can to make it, in the world of flawless, and VVS's. I mean, we all have imperfection, right?

The spot, and line were there in the rough diamond- but expert human hands used metal tools olive oil, and diamond dust to polish the helk out of the diamond and get it to have a wonderful step-emerald cut. Lot's of glitter- which allows you to see the spot.

It's a dazzling cut- with tons of glitter- great looking in terms of size too.

The Diamond is now a beautiful, long legged Radiant Cut!
In the re-cut, the diamond lost a little weight ( .25ct ).
It's a little shorter than it was- making the proportion even nicer.

Now that it has all these additional facets, there's a ton of sparkle. The imperfection, clearly visible before, is now hidden among the massive flashes of glittery light.

The color looked pretty nice before for a K- now it's even better.

The price is almost the same as before- the re-cut adding $200.

It's quite a bargain.

The buyer had us set the diamond in a lovely 18kt yellow gold setting- with yellow side diamonds.
