In this case, a major league cutter of fancy colored diamonds spotted the new and improved DBL site and let us know they wanted to supply us.

I love the cut of this stone. Here's what the cutter managed to achieve with this cushion diamond -

1) Antique sensibilities: by this I mean a smaller table, higher crown. Reminiscent of an Old Mine Brilliant.

2) Speaking of proportions - have a look at the footprint. The diamond looks pretty large for a 1.64ct - that is a good thing in my book.

3) Even lovely lemon yellow color. Many people tell us they prefer the lighter softer yellow of a Y-Z to the more costly Intense yellow colors. The cutter really did a great job of bringing forth this color.

The Diamond is a VVS2 - another desirable aspect.
