The setting is a perfect vehicle for the lovely stone.
Mill grain. "Mock Bezel"... at first glance it looks like a bezel setting. However, closer inspection reveals the lovely, shaped prongs.
The shank is 1.9mm at the palm.
More details about the center stone
I chose this stone precisely because it's not extremely saturated. The majority of yellow lab diamonds we see are far too saturated - making them look orangy. It seems that the process of making them yellow just isn't perfected - or possible to do consistently.
Add to this the difficulty buyers face due to IGI's inconsistent grading of stones that have modifying fancy yellow lab diamonds.
Many stones with modifying colors pass without being identified as such.
It's "understandable" given the immense commitment in dollars it would take to compete with GIA's far more advanced, fancy color grading system. Grading colorless stones is easy compared to fancy colors.
This stone is accurately graded "Fancy Yellow" in my opinion.
It's lovely shade.
I love the cut.
It's exactly how I would want a tall rectangular radiant to look. Super clean- sweeeet stone!
